Smartphone Maker ( Smartphone :P) Blackberry has paused the global release of its instant
messaging service Blackberry Messenger (BBM) for the rival platforms, Android and iOS.
The Blackberry Messenger is probably the only valuable asset of the dying legendary smartphone
maker.After the Blackberry 10 effort not seeing much commerce, the company is being sold
to a Canadian Investment Firm, FairFax for a measly $4.7 bn. A sorry state indeed for the
company with such a history.
But what seemed like an easy task for the company has also been apparently been messed up.
"We know you're waiting.Pausing #BBM4All rollout to fix issues caused by unreleased BBM
for Android app," said Blackberry's Twitter account."We will provide you an update on timing
as soon as we can. Teams are working non-stop," it added.
Blackberry had earlier announced that it will provide BBM on Android starting September 21 and
iOS starting September 22.While they have said that the unreleased version is causing issues,
we can assure you that it works perfectly fine. Download links provided !
